Hi, I have bought recently a nexus 7 and would love to connect it to my tv to watch movies. After doing some research I found out that I need a slimport. Just wondering if anybody has bought recently a slimport online and is reliable. I saw some on ebay around the $10 mark but not sure if these will do the job.

I use slimport with my N4 and it is fine.
My suggestion would be that you make sure that the adapter you choose has a female USB(mine has the port on the HDMI end), I have seen some older ones without, so you can plug other devices into your nexus while using slimport( maybe a joystick for games, or airmouse for control of the device).
It is also worth buying a QI wireless charging unit so that your tablet charges while slimport uses the USB port of your nexus.
Also remember that this will only work with N7 2013, first generation will not work.
My nexus is an N7 20113. Can you recommend where to buy the slimport from.
