Wifi Extender recommendations

Hi,
Since our current wifi router from Bigponds tends to cut out frequently, I'm looking to buy a wifi extender, was wondering if anyone had some recommendations of a good one?

    just buy another router like TP LINK cheap & handy, buy boost antenna and you're done! :) solution cost - under $50. cons - may require a bit of tech configuration

      I have old routers that I can probably use, did you have a link to boost antenna?
      Haven't heard of that before.

    Depending on your use case, I'd consider getting an Ethernet over Power adapter instead. If the device your trying to connect doesn't move then it will almost certainly perform better than Wifi.

      Didn't realise EOP/Powerline existed.

      A pity, I already brought the Netgear WN3500RP ($88) today.

      Guess the advantage of wifi is that it would also boost my iPad and Nexus 5.
