MEDION 64GB USB Stick - USB3.0

A cheap USB 3 solution with massive capacity. Probably good for home use and portable media devices.

  • Wonder what kind of read/write performance speed it achieves. Can't find any details on-line.

    Medion.. haha

using their Medion 4 smartphone atm~

  • SanDisk ultra drive, much faster same size and price. http://www.mln.com.au/product/?itemID=4959

    • which is better out of the cruzer or the ultra?

      • According to reviews the Cruzer Extreme is heaps faster. One of if not the the fastest.

        • yes was on another ozbargain post, apparently the ultra is ultra slow to write

    • How do you know it is faster? Name brand and same price but I don't thick shipping is included for customers outside Melbourne and according to reviews the 8 MB/s write speed is woeful.

I wouldn't recommend anyone buy anything off MLN after they sent me a "new" laptop and logs showed it had been used for months. Then when the power system broke they wouldn't help with the warranty….

However, the PNY Turbo from Amazon (was on OZB a week back) is still better value :
      PNY Turbo 64GB USB 3.0 drive (P-FD64GTBOP-GE)

      • Wow, that's dodgy and really sucks!

Agreed. That would be cheaper for a known very fast product that would come to US $35.04 (approx. AU $37.55) delivered. If you prefer to buy that way.

Probably good for home use and portable media devices.

Why didn't you just type "probably good for storing files on" ?

    • I meant 'suited for casual home use' like storing media files etc. I personally won't buy a Medion USB key for mission-critical uses like storing school or work related data.

Just look at the SanDisk site. These drives write and read at about 5-10mbs as opposed to the ultra at 80 mbs
