With the weather getting cooler I am on the look out for a Panel Heater that is energy efficient. Can anyone recommend a good brand and/or a good price on one?

I did some research on this once and came to the conclusion that any electric heater is at best a 1:1 conversion efficiency (and they are all fairly close). Aircon is an approx 1:3 conversion as it pumps heat, not creates it (if that makes sense). You need to factor in the size of the room that needs heating, how much heating it needs, insulation, etc. But a room sized inverter aircon will probably be cheaper to run than an electric heater.
If you're sold on an electric heater, try and get one that is least likely to explode in flames..
aldi had some that were released on Wednesday. they look reasonable.
Thanks, I had seen some 400w, wasn't sure how efficient they would be to heat a bedroom. I don't have an Aldi near me unfortunately. I'm in SA.
I would think they all are within 10% range in terms of efficiency, if the same type of heating element is used. Cant recommend any deals.
