I'm looking to do a hospitality course which will start and finish before June 6th.
Not necessarily short courses, because I'm on a Health Care Card, and those courses are ridiculously expensive.
I found a great one on the HospTrain site…
Certificate of Hospitality (Coffee, Bar and Waiter). It goes for 8 weeks, and is only $105 (half that price for me)
Problem is…it doesn't begin intake until 8th May. So I wouldn't be able to complete it before I need to.
Does anyone know of similar deals to this in my timeframe?
Cheers in advance!!
Two questions, how old are you and what is your previous highest qualification? (e.g. Bachelor, Cert II, Cert IV…..)
Because if you are under 20 or were 19 at the beginning of this year you can do 2 government subsidised courses a year for free no matter your previous qualifications. I did my RSA, cocktail training, barista training, RSG and first aid for free with lunch paid for every day.
If you are over 20 you can still do 2 government subsidies courses a year for free.. BUT you can't down skill, meaning if you have a Cert IV you can't do a cert III..
The government subsidised courses are sometimes extremely painful from experience but my hospitality course was great. It took me 1 week of full time classes at LaDiDa the club and then yeah. I was even able to work everything around prior commitments and stuff.
