I bought a ring last time they posted a deal here and one of the small stones surrounding the main Tanzanite stone fell in the first week. I tried to resolve this with the seller who did not get back to me. Had to lodge a dispute with PayPal to get them to respond.
I returned the ring at their Hong Kong address as advised and basically never heard from them since or got the money refunded.
PayPal ruled against me as I could not provide a tracking number (too stingy, did not want to pay for it). However, I paid for insurance which I will have to resort to very soon.
    In short, don't buy.

I last sent you an email on 26 March and… I have not heard back. I would also like to mention that I sent the ring back on 1st of February and… I have not heard back from you.
To clarify, given my previous experience with you, I do not expect to get anything resolved at this stage. I am only posting this for the benefit of other members of this community.

  • I don't 'get' why this is so expensive.

White gold is a cheap substitute for Platinum. It is only around 58% gold, plus nickel, copper, and zinc.

Tanzanite does not appear to have much value.

    • Dear A3Australia,

Thanks for your query, Well you are right, that compare to the Platinum Gold is less priced.
And the alloys are used to make it harden to mold in desired Design compare to pure gold which is soften.

And About the tanzanite, its the top grade quality color of tanzanite, which gets very less ratio from the general rough production. So it make its more prominent and sparkling once set in jewelry.

And since the limited of Availability, Tanzanite is gaining the popularity and presence among the users.

How many tonnes have been mined and stored, how many more tonnes are mined every year in Tanzania?

        • Tanzanite is gaining the popularity

          So is Tasmanite

  • I'd be interested to knows how many OzB's pull the trigger on one of these!!

Actually I was a bit interested until I saw the post above that the seller is a dodgy Chinese seller

    • From this seller, unlikely but my missus became interested in tanzanite a couple years back and every so often I go for bit of a hunt for possible present offering. I get the feeling that most designs employ white gold / platinum rather than yellow gold which my girl favours.
