I've been looking at this special on a Dell UP2414Q 4K monitor for US$700. Locally is costs AU$ 1200.
I was wondering is any Oz bargainers think it is worth getting through a re-shipper?
Yes, if it breaks, then it will be expensive.
This means you can't run the Dell UP2414Q's 3840 x 2160 native resolution at 60Hz over HDMI, only 30Hz.
so 60hz on DP but not hdmi?
Dell often randomly offers specials on pretty much everything they sell, could be worth just holding out and checking their AU website periodically. Still not going to be cheap for a monitor like this!
Packaged weight is 10kg; shipping will cost you anywhere upwards of $100 (I used http://calculator.shipito.com/ for a rough quote, I haven't used them before however).
That takes the total to at least $800 USD which is roughly $855 AUD. Not a bad option, my only worry would be warranty issues become expensive (maybe google the amount of issues people have with dead pixels etc)
