shoots 4k
…@15fps
A spec sheet gimmick methinks.
I think there is a difference with still shots too?
Yep. 4K at 15fps is a waste of time!
Bl@@dy great!! tHANKS!!!!
That's for the GoPro Hero 3 series, not 3+ series.
**
also comes with the remote which is worth about $100
Costs about $100 you mean.
Kogan is selling them for $419+P&H for anyone who misses out!
But the one from Dick Smith is local Australian stock whereas that one from Kogan would be imported from Hong Kong.
Thanks OP, I'm keen, but would like to hear opinion comparing the image quality & features of this GoPro3+ compared to the newish' Sony AS100V of similar price?
…….or direct me to a URL that does?
Here you go.
Recently watched a few comparos on youtube these two, as well as the older AS30V. The AS30V looked better than both the as100V and Hero 3+ Black IMO. Shame I missed the $300 AS30V bundle with Sony remote.
And there's an Amazon special on Micro-SD cards on right now too (not sure what ones will work with this though) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/140586
The only thing holding me back is the GoPro 4 that is coming "soon".
Yeah but how much better will it be? The quality of the Black is already damned impressive
Higher frame rates, 4k30 so you can do 1080p oversampling, longer battery life, good image stabilization…
Still $528 at the moment, but includes a bonus $30 gift card. I wonder if the gift card will still be there when the sale starts?

confirm with rep before about the model number on special 4177, and yes, bonus $20 gift card
Hmm, it's $428 now but the bonus gift card isn't listed anymore?
I decided to just get one while it's cheap. I went to my local Harvey who price-matched the sale. The sales person wasn't sure if they could do it so he asked the manager, who said sure, no problem.
Got back, put the battery in … and it's DOA. @#%#$^
Damn I didnt look on here yesterday in an attempt to reign in my obsesively checking Ozbargain I missed out on the one thing I have been wanting a great price on
besides price, what is THE main difference with Black Edition, compared to silver? it's not 1080p, so what's the diff?
