4x 225/45r17 94Y Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2's BRAND NEW - $699. Fitting and Balancing Inclusive

30

This is a continuation to the previous thread https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/138578 posted by the Store Rep.

Many (including myself) were asking for a good deal with F1A2's in 225/45r17 for our 17" GTI's. I managed to find a deal through the same guys at Goodyear Autocare Croydon.

$699. Fitting and Balancing Inclusive for people in Melbourne.

The price of these are a steal, but even better with the 4 for 3 Goodyear promo.

Call Ruben - 03 97254633 / 0421155533

Apparently there are only 6 sets of these that arrived today. I've picked up 1 set so guess 5 remaining.

The 4 for 3 sale is also expiring at cob Thursday (17/04/2014) so make sure you pay for them beforehand. Fitting can be done at a later stage.

Cheers,

Andy

  • F1! Are these made for Goodyear by Pirelli?

    • Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2, by Goodyear

  • Any good prices on 195R14C ?

  • I need this size tyre, pity they are only in Melb!

    • They will post. Check the older thread for approx shipping costs. Just don't let that jv guy see this though!

Edit: Better to call them to get a quote on shipping.

I just checked, they refuse to post a tyre mechanic to fit and balance. Has to be redeemed in store :-(

        • they refuse to post a tyre mechanic fitter

you dont need an apprenticeship or qualifications to fit tyres or do wheel alignments … they are not mechanics..

        • Touche!

It's a steal of a deal for us in Melb with the price fitted and balanced. But still a great price for the rubber alone + shipping. I'm sure you'll find it hard to get this matched at your local tyre store!

  • I have a set of these, amazing, totally love them! This price, wow!

  • Does anyone know price for 235/45/18 ?

  • How can this be a bargain? Michelin Pilot Sport 3 same profile $195 each after $100 eft post card is $680. No deal

    • Actually mate, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 same profile can be had for $170 each after $100 eftpos card is $580. Guess you're looking at the wrong places either way you look at it, as you are in the wrong thread if you're after PS3's, as well as your $680 is a no deal for me. This is for people that are after Goodyear F1A2's.

I just did a general search, where is your source for $170 each? I am in VIC, your reply is greatly appreciated.

        • You're the great bargain hunter shting in this thread, so I'm sure you'll find your own source if you tried hard enough =)

Irrespective of my source for PS3's in the same size @ $170 each, the point of my post was that you are comparing apples to oranges. In actually fact, I was looking at the PS3's and found them @ $170 each, but decided on the F1A2's instead. Different products/brands/price completely. There are plenty debates on the interwebz regarding F1A2's vs PS3's, but this thread is not about that.

This thread was for F1A2's, not PS3's. How about you post up a thread for your PS3's @ $195 each, and I'll sht in that with my source, as it'll be apples vs apples ;)

Mate, let's not get things too personal and maintain the ozbargain purpose. Personally I don't think $195 each for Michelin PS3 is a good deal otherwise I would have got them on my GTI. It's all about personal preference regards tyres, I did ask you nicely and would ask again if you could help another GTI fellow.

All good bud, let's keep up the OzBargain spirit!

The $170 each quote I got was through a mate that looks after us with tyres, been going to him for a while for all tyre related stuff. I just couldn't this time as I wanted to try the F1A2's with all the feedback I've heard about it, and unfortunately the 3 for 4 offer didn't apply at his store.

Give Nathan a call at JaxQuickFit in Caulfield. Let him know that your 'mate' Andy with the 180sx referred you through. Let him know that Andy didn't end up going through with the PS3's for his misses' GTI, but instead you would like to with your GTI.

Remember to lock it in before the end of the month to be eligible the $100 eftpos redemption offer.

  • Price matched last week at the St Kilda store for $630 fitted and balanced.

The guy wasn't happy about it but gave the price anyway.
