I'm a night time tooth grinder so have a nightguard. Recently lost my dentist sourced custom made nightguard and currently have to make do with a seriously uncomfortable boil and bite until my new custom made one is ready. Not too concerned about the cost of that one as mostly covered by insurance. Out of interest, I did some searching and found overseas labs (they send you kit to do impression at home, you send back, they send you custom night guard (links below). I'm considering trying one out so I have a non-generic back up. Has anyone got any experience with these or other similar services? Any other tips?

yeah was in a similar problem to you. Had lost my retainer after braces, and was searching for another one. Personally I wanted the extra piece of mind and called up a for dentists and got a new retainer for $80. Dentist can also make sure it actually fits correctly.
However was curious about these home/overseas kits
