Recieving a Mobile Phone delivery that I shouldn't be getting - advice needed

Hey guys,
Hope I've posted this in the right place. Gonna give you guys a situation I've found myself in and hoping to get some advice.

I initially posted a pre-order for an Xperia Z2 though Mobicity, but when I heard it would be delayed, I decided to change my mind and instead get the Z1 for the cheaper price. I organised this change of order through the online chat on their website.

The Z2 order was cancelled, and marked as 'closed' on my account. When I got my next email, I noticed that my new order had been placed as the Z1 COMPACT, not what I wanted. I informed them that it had been done wrong and that it get changed to the Z1. I again received another order notifying me of the cancellation of the Z1 Compact order, but noticed that the Compact order had been marked as 'Complete', not 'Closed' like the first one.

To skip things forward a bit, the correct order for the Z1 was eventually placed and I have received all the correct refund amounts that I was supposed to have, as well as recieving the Z1 early last week.

Here comes my problem. On Friday, I was sent an email from Mobicity that my order was on its way. Confused, I checked the order number on the email against my account, and it matched up with the order number for the Z1 Compact, the order that SHOULD have been cancelled but was marked as 'complete' (but refunded) on my account. Further checking of the tracking shows that the parcel has made its way to Melbourne from Hong Kong this morning (Sunday)

What should I do? It seems the order hasn't been cancelled properly. I've essentially been refunded $550+, but looks like I'm still going to receive the phone when I shouldn't be?

Mobicity would most definitely want the phone back even when it's a stuff up on their end. Just contact them and they should organise a pick up or postage slip to send the package back to them at no cost on your end.

Why you feel the need to even ask what you should do amazes me. The goods don't belong to you, whether its an error or oversight doesn't count. You just contact the supplier and ask them where to send the goods back to. No advice needed

  • Hi drisbel, I am sorry to hear that the mobile shipped out to you, after the order had been cancelled. Can you please send an email to [email protected] (attentioned to Mark), along with your order number, so that I can look into the situation?
