My friend and I are thinking of starting a business importing cars from Japan. All tips on the process much appreciated.
Importing, Where to Start?
Comments
Research the market well in advance as to whether there is a 'need'. Reminds me of people in Thailand who say "I know, I will open up a food stall" as if there are not thousands there already!
So, if we do all the work for you and tell you how to import cars, what laws to consider etc. do we also get a share of your profits?
Your question reminds me a bit of people who have no idea about programming or business saying "I want to start a software company that is bigger than Microsoft - can anybody please tell me how to do it all?" Sorry to sound harsh but if you want to own and run a business YOU need to do the hard work - and a lot of it! Or you PAY specialists to do the work. But either way - the onus is on you. So if your idea is not just an idea you had when watching a game and drinking a beer, get cracking with your research (thorough research for all areas should take you at least one month full-time, if not longer).
Forget the import of cars - very complex unless you specialise in vintage cars or are a car manufacturer such as Audi or BMW.
