Has anyone imported a Sony PlayStation Vita from the US?

  I bought mine from Amazon in Nov 2012 and works perfectly. I use a HTC phone adapter/charger to charge the Vita I'm not sure if all chargers will work but I know Apple ones don't work. It's not region locked and you can use your Aus PSN account.

  Why do you want to buy from Amazon anyway? It's more expensive. You can buy from JB for $199 and get a free game or memory card with 10 games (4 of which are great Hotline Miami, Limbo, Thomas Was Alone, Velocity Ultra). Saves money, time, no need to worry about adapters or warranty.

    So it does come with an adaptor - but it won't work with Australian sockets?

    Yeah, I'm thinking of getting the Borderlands 2 bundle - just because I want the new model. Would rather get one of the funky colours, in a vane attempt to hand on to my youth.

      I'm not going to act like I know, but a google search for "ps vita adaptor" looks like the vita to usb adaptor inserts into a brick with a figure 8 cable out of the otherside which looks like it could be easily replaced, maybe $8 for a new one at best

        If he's going for the new one then it should be using the new micro USB adapter to charge rather than their proprietary charger with their first gen. So pretty much all chargers should work.

        If you change your mind to get a first gen one then, yes only a figure 8 plug will be required.

  I have a Japanese Soul Sacrifice Limited Edition model and it has been perfect. Like Tal said, you just need a figure 8 plug. Should cost $5-$8.

  I new Vita chargers on Mirco usb (I think that is what it called), so you can use any android phone charger. They are not region set.
  There are plenty of cool colours available in places than than oz
  Make it is the slim model, much better to play
