Hello everyone,
I have saved up few $$$ and I have been looking new investment ideas to get some decent return on them. The bank interest rate is very low and not keen either to invest with managed funds. I was researching on the internet and came across Container management services company, named Pacific Tycoon (based in HK).
Basically, I buy the containers and lease it to these management companies. They act like a real estate agent and deposit the "rent" on a monthly/quarterly basis. The container costs for US$4,100 each for 40 feet. The return and process sounds easy and very good. They have two investment options
1) Fixed return of 12% (much higher than the 4% I am getting with U Bank)
2) Variable return upto 30%
The website looks professional and the guy I spoke over the phone also sounded genuine.
The problem is when I did a quick google search on them. There are few contradictory reports on them where some one believes its a scam while others swear by it. Does anyone have any experience with them or any other container management services??
Cheers.
What happens if your container gets blown over the side of a ship in a massive typhoon?
