I have yet to be disappointed with the quality of a Tamrac bag, so I'm expecting good things.
Enjoy.

This is more suitable for keeping CDs, DVDs, lipstick, condoms, candies, etc rather than keeping laptop

The laptop compartment is looking pretty good from where I'm sitting. I don't know how it is in the flesh. We'll see. The other pockets can be used for the power supply and mouse, assorted goodies and so on.

I have a Tamrac Adventure backpack and I have always been impressed with the quality, though the thing was expensive. I hope to get the same feeling with this one. The bag is not super-large. Hence the name, I guess.

Amazon is still selling the other colour of this bag (black/grey) for full price (USD $99.95).

    • "This is more suitable for keeping CDs, DVDs, lipstick, condoms, candies…."

That's ok, glad you have your own use for it.

    • "lipstick + condoms + candies", I see you're a romantic kind of guy, oh and safe. Your parents have taught you well.

  • Best laptop bag I have owned (& still using) is a bag by the brand "incase".

  • A quick calc of the capacity puts it at 36 Litres and just on 1100g weight.

  • 3 left of tan/brown, price has gone up to US$54 + del

    • Thanks for that. Marked as expired.

  • 2 left in stock now and at USD $99.95.
Amazon's algorithms have well-and-truly kicked back in :)

  • Got mine :)
The bag is a winner. I'd be very hard-pressed to pay $100+ for it but for the discounted price it's excellent.

    • I love the weatherproofing on the laptop compartment zip.
    • I love the padding on the back and the padded shoulder straps (similar to my Tamrac Adventure backpack).
    • The brown colours are better in the flesh than online. In my opinion, it's a very nice change from over-used black and grey.
    • the main compartment is pretty decent, with some dividers inside it as well as mesh pockets (I don't really like mesh pockets as a general rule, but you can't have it all…)
    • the side (water bottle) pockets are mesh too and I'd much prefer they were totally sealed and waterproof with a zip, but again you can't have it all and I knew this going in.

The thing that I'd love to see (especially if paying full price) is proper reinforced hard plastic 'feet' for the bag. It has no additional protection down below. It really should, so that when the bag is placed on the ground it can rough it without damage to the nylon on the bottom of the bag.

All-in-all, a very nice bag for the price.

  • Well, I still haven't received mine. What should I do? Amazon tracking says my bag was stopped for inspection at customs. Australia Post claims it's "In Transit"…

    • Give it a few days, I'd guess that it will show before long.
