Star Trek Starships replica series at Newsagents

Hi There

Just wondering if anyone has picked up issue 1 of the new Star Trek Starships replica series at a newsagent? What is the quality of the model and the magazine like?

Issue 1 seems like good value at $3.99, but probably not the rest of the series at $19.99 per issue, per fortnight.

    Can't believe you're even asking. These magazine series are always bad value.

      I don't think $3.99 is bad value if the model ship is decent quality, which was my question.

      Obviously signing up for the $19.99 fortnightly subscription is not good value.

    according to longer time UK subscribers, theres some models with spelling errors as well as wrong language. Theres also some ships that don't even exist in the ST universe.

    There are some models worth getting if its your bent. But may be sold out at newsagents as issues 2 ($12.95) & 3 ($19.95) were in a coupla hrs. (and I betcha 4 & 5)

    If anyone is interested, I purchased the first issue for $3.99 and I think the model is worth every dollar. Pretty good for $4. Don't know about the ongoing $19.99 for the other issues though.
