RACV Roadside assist - Is it still the best? If not, what do you use?

Hi all

Our car is getting old and there is a good chance that it will decide to break down at some stage.

I used to use RACV roadside assist a long time ago but these days, there are 100 other companies out there that is offering the same kind of service, i'm totally lost.

So, i'm asking to see what everyone else is using and what they think of it.

  I have been thinking the same thing. I go for RACV because they have the greatest number of members and are very busy - so I assume they can't afford to employ crap mechanics (even though 50% of calls are for re-fueling lol). But yes, there are others. Even mechanics give out 6 or 12 months roadside assist with a service:

  allianz is the only good alternative to racv and is included free with some car insurance policies :)
