      Tough Crowd

I guess it's difficult to be funny as a corporation as you might offend some people if you go too far.

iinet's attempted humour in this case is very light hearted.

I put this on my wife while she was doing the vacuuming, was able to download porn much quicker than when it's hooked up to my Labradoodle.

    • +3

Can I borrow the wife when you don't need the bandwidth and can settle for the Labradoodle?

    • +4

      A Labradoodledongle?

      • +1

        Shortened to Labradongle.

    what a rubbish gimmick!!!

taking your pet for a walk and bring a notebook with you to check email.

    what a joke!!!

    • Yep u got that right….it IS a joke ;-)

    • actually its more common than u thought.

i often check my twitter messages when i take my dog for a walk.

its the only 'free' downtime i get, cause back at home the kids/wife demand all the attention.

dont be too quick to dismiss quiet time walking the dog…

Labelling something as [April Fools] kind of defeats the point doesn't it?

    • +4

Especially given the new ownership… Sure tag them after midday, but for now let people work it out themselves…

  • Where's Broden when you need him?

The saddest part is it's actually a good deal.

They can't offer those kind of quotas for that price on mobile broadband. They probably won't offer that for another 10+ years.

  • +1 solely for effort of the site

  • The whole point of an April Fools prank is to do something which could almost be real, in an attempt to fool someone. This is a massive fail.

    • +4

Businesses are a bit more constrained than individuals when it comes to AFJs. They can't put up something that's offensive or too real that people actually try to sign up and get mad when they can't. And anyway they are playing the game for publicity, not to win comedy awards.

If it doesn't tickle your funny bone which after all is individual taste, just move on, lots of other jokes out there.

I wonder if this will work with goldfish.

No point really - you'll have to refresh the page every 4 seconds

These are getting lame… A bit like the whole site update…

    Shouldn't 1000Gb be listed as 1 Terrierbyte?

    • -7

      no, that'd be 1024GB as 1TB .. :)

      • +2

        Woooooooooooooooosh! …. loll

  • excellent, just bought two for the dogs

  • +2

Bloody useless. Bought one for the cat and now have nowhere to put my laptop. Hotspot is guaranteed to work though. One meow from me.

PS - improve your ADSL2 plans for humans and then we'll talk.

    • How could you think a laptop would be anything but a cat. More contentment than reading CatchBargain for sure. Meow! :)

$109 for 1000Gb of mobile data, I'd strap that thing around my own neck!!!

  • OMG, I will refuse to read any bargain. All look April Fool………

Great. Now we look forward to prolific posts by LNP coalition supporters who will claim that FTTP is a waste, fibre is obsolete, and house pets are the future of networking.

    Faster. Cheaper. Furrier.

    Quick. Someone tell Alan Jones!

  • wasted our time

  • -2

Not funny at all. This is a site dedicated to bargains. Not some half baked pathetic attempt at humour. It doesn't even belong in the forums.

    • +4

This is a site dedicated to bargains

1TB for $110 is pretty good, if it was real…

relax, get a sense of humour

      • +1

You've offended the internet, there's gonna be a ****storm and nothing will come of it ;)
