How to find someone to write/create my app idea?

I have an idea for an app but lack any serious app writing knowledge or skillz.

so, how can I find someone to create the app?

    If you are serious about this, contract someone or place an ad on gumtree/newspapers/online coding forums.

    But, I seriously doubt you have enough patience - and honestly, just drop the idea.

    Place an ad for your requirements, people "bid" for the job.

    Just do your research on each one that responds. You can get a great deal & good work done there.

    Yes there are lots of those job listing sites where you create a task and lots of out-sourcing companies or freelancing individuals would bid for your project. Some big ones — Elance, ODesk & Freelancer, where Freelancer is listed on ASX (FLN).

      i know what you mean YaBigGoose (hahaha) but if you consider wanting a house built for investment purposes & you were not a builder, would you do it yourself? Or hire people expert in that field?

      It would be quite silly to learn carpentry, plumbing, tiling etc to build a house!

      Hope that puts it into perspective for you :)

    I would be worried about some of these bid for contact organisations, stealing your idea. how much protection are you given?

      I've always wondered about that, too. Do you patent an idea or concept first, & then farm it out? I know a guy who has a very good idea for an app/web design & he's trying to do the same as the OP.

      Has anyone here ever submitted something successfully like this at OB? If so, what are the steps?

        Everyone can come up with an idea,

        But how you market it is what makes the difference

          yes and no.

          You can google a bunch of ideas right now.

          Apple and such found great success from taking "ideas" already on the market and just marketing/executing them better.

          My advice: do not let FEARS stop you.

          I invite you to come and slap me in the face if 5+ of your ideas get stolen.

          And even if they did, there's more than enough "ideas" to go around…

          New opportunities are always being created e.g. google glasses and apps specific to them etc
