Cost of mouth guards?

Would just like to know how much people have paid for a fitted mouthguard and where they got in from?

  • when i was young i got the 'shock doctor' branded ones from a sports store that you put in boiling water and mould to the teeth. i think they where areound $50-60 worth every cent you spend though.

  • Hmm read this as moth guards…mouth guard make much more sense :p

  • I got a custom mouthguard done at Bonnyrigg Dental Surgery. Cost around $250 I think. Ask for their Dental Hygienist, she did a really good job and was quite gentle. I did get this done with a clean and bleaching (not part of the $250) so you may need to confirm price coz it might have been a package deal but it was well worth the money, especially as my health fund covered quite a bit of it.

  • Depends what you mean by "fitted", but where I work we carry these guys which have some gel mixture that helps to form a good fit along with the standard boiling water procedure. Couldn't find any reviews online though, so who knows.

  • i would like to go to the dentist and get a proper mouth guard fitted. I had an injury to my teeth in a sports injury.
