I've parked there and on both occasions it seemed to have only one parking spot; it is miles from anywhere, like an airport and car park in middle of a large paddock.
My advice is to take a windproof and rainproof fold up jacket with you as the wind whistles across the larval plain there.
If it ever rains again in Melbourne, you have to walk across the tarmac and from airport to car. Even though it is no great distance a weather proof jacket is mighty useful at Avalon. JoyV
