G-Shock watches in Australia?

Are Australian G-Shock watches overpriced?

Does anyone know where I can get a good price for genuine Casio G-Shocks in Brisbane?

Yeah, they are if you buy them at the shops.. I've always bought my G-Shocks from Amazon UK.

    • How much savings from buying from Amazon? And any particular reason it has to be Amazon UK?

        big generalisation, i have a $20 gshock, I have a $200 gshock

find the model that you want, find a local, find the amazon price, find ebay price

        make up your own mind

      • Basically, you buy them at the price that most people pay for. Not sure about savings but the retail shops in Australia always have their watches way overpriced by like $100+.

Find a G-Shock model that you like, then jump over onto Amazon US and Amazon UK to compare the prices.. go with the cheaper option.

Amazon usually have sales on watches.. keep an eye on both of the sites.

        Also, tonyjzx is right.

        • the jewelry trade here is subject to higher taxes i believe than just a mere 10% gst

if you're cheap just waiting until COTD have a sale and see if theres a style you like

hell even ebay is pretty good for ex SG stock

But the quality of jewellery here is lousy compared to other countries. I imported a 18karat gold necklace for my girlfriend and it beats anything in Michael Hills at a lower price than most.

        • Catch of the Day's current G-Shock specials: http://www.catchoftheday.com.au/search?query=casio

        • Agreed.

OP you're probably better off buying your G-Shocks online as you'll most likely save a substantial amount. I bought a GW-4000D for about $320 shipped from the US about 2 years ago, and also bought a GW6900 for $90 ish (upwards of $200 here).

Best for you probably to scout for prices around, and just buy from the cheapest place.

        • Seems like some Amazon US items do not ship to Australia?

        • Yeah.. that was one of the problems. Some of the watches were so cheap but didn't ship to Australia.

  • Not sure what you are after but I got my DW5600E for $50 delivered from a US supplier on eBay last year. But I would try to get them through Amazon is the price was comparable.

  • BTW make sure they complete the Warranty card so you are covered by their international warranty. We bought one at Macy's last year and can't find the receipt for a warranty claim.

  • Kogan have started selling them.
