My old tv just blew up yesterday and I'm looking for the best possible 42 inch tv. So far I'm leaning towards this one because the specs are better and its almost $100 cheaper at Bing Lee than elsewhere. I have always preferred Samsung and Sony over the rest but people tell me that you can't go wrong with LG or Panasonic. My Samsung lasted for 10 years before wrecking and we also have a Sony that has been doing well for the past 3 yrs. Does anyone suggest any other tv's that I may have missed.
EDIT: I prefer 100 Hz and LED LCD over Plasma

That set looks to be good value for the $$. I prefer LG over all the other makes but we all have our preferences.
After LG I would next consider Hisense. They are building a reputation for durability and they support their product better than a lot of the big name brands. Just recently I was at a large AV repair facility and they praised Hisense openly for their support.
