    So jelly. I paid $259 US + shipping ~ $300AUD.

Good news for any prospective buyers: I actually had a proper black-out yesterday at my place while I was copying stuff onto it (still in the process of getting everything back to how I like it), and my M500 is still ticking and reporting no adverse SMART data; not mention none of the files were corrupted. The power failure protection isn't just a gimmick it seems.

    I see there's also a 240Gb version for A$137.66(XE)delivered

The 120GB/240GB versions are dramatically slower (especially the write speeds). Go for the 480GB if you can, that's about the budget SSD benchmark right now and going any lower is not worth it at these price points (considering the competition available).

Alternatively go for the Evo 840 250GB for $139.99 or the SanDisk Extreme II 240GB for $177.29.

Sorry, but your alternatives are very pricy. The evo is 139.99 in USD. Once you add shipping (easy $15) and convert it you're looking at a $170 AUD SSD delivered. Compare with the Crucial at $138 AUD delivered. Is the benefit worth a 20% price hike?

    • The price on that has been lower. Wouldn't say it is the best time to buy but still a great deal!

      • The OP's price is AUD, it's $220USD on Amazon, don't think it's been cheaper.

        • haha i'm the OP. I was referring to zipolitejoe talking about the 240gb version.

  • nice price. wish the 960gb shipped here though, really need larger than 480gb for all my games (curse you steam sales!)

It does. Make sure you select Amazon as the seller. Got my 960GB in the mail from Amazon about a week and a half ago. Price even dropped since I purchased and the refunded they difference.

      • ah so it does, those sneaky petes! thank you :)

  • Thanks Bought (should be AUD $246.77)28 deg card.

    • Just logged on to 28 Degrees- says amount is $246.63 AUD

  • it goes up to $263 for me
it wont give me free shipping

    • It's gone up in price to $227.

(free shipping doesn't apply to non-US orders)

  • Glad i bought earlier today… (no doubt these will keep dropping longterm as usual tho.)

  • Not really very fast compared to the competitors (840 Pro, Extreme II, etc). However, very good value.

  • Back to US$220 + $8 delivery which is $244 with 28D card. Bought at $258 last week :(.

  • Got it for $241.84 on Citibank Plus Card
