PayPal issue

Hi all

I just added a new credit card to my PayPal account and when completed it said PayPal will initiate a $1 transaction from the card to check if it's valid and return the money once confirmed.

However, the $1 was debited from a different credit card on my PayPal account and not the new one. (I have several credit cards on my PayPal account) Why have they done this? Is this normal? Makes no sense to me.

    Doesn't make sense. Sign into your account and goto contact us. (You will get a PIN so you can skip the annoying authentication questions.)

    Being automated, you must have ticked the wrong box perhaps ?
    Is your new credit crd listed ? If not, try again.

    Or put in a PayPal dispute against PayPal ;-)

    If they debit the $1 from the wrong card, but still mark the new card as valid, does it even matter?
