The current contact lenses offer from SpecSavers is $20 off min order of $89 or $50 off min order of $199.

Shipping is $10. If you do not take advantage of the discount codes, shippping is free.

Not as good as the summer discount codes but might be useful for those who need new lenses soon.

Can't see any expiry date so I'll just set it to end of Autumn.

Yeah me too. I was originally going to post that but found that for my lenses, SpecSavers was quite a bit cheaper.

Edit: I wasn't very impressed that I had to sign up again with opsm.com.au - the login details from opsmdirect.com.au don't work. They have also jacked up their prices quite a bit, and you have to subscribe to auto-refills to get the best price.

    • There used to be two websites for opsm, opsm.com.au and opsmdirect.com.au and the latter was cheaper than the store prices. Now opsmdirect.com.au automatically redirects to opsm.com.au, and I have been told they store prices have been dropped to be the same as the old opsmdirect.com.au prices. Login details from opsmdirect.com.au have not been transferred to opsm.com.au so you have to create a new login. Only took 30 minutes on the phone to find that out. "We apologize if you didn't get the email…."

Doesn't look like it's Australian health fund-compatible unlike SpecSavers and OPSM.

      • Moocher, good advice. I bought 4 sets of glasses for our family from clearlycontacts and visiondirect one year just after they stopped being health fund claimable, (and only found out in January) and couldn't get any refund from Medibank.

        • Yeah I also found out that clearlycontacts.com.au stopped having a valid provider no. back in March 2012, but when I rang up they were quite happy for me to return the contact lenses and provided me with a refund. I'm not sure what their policy is these days with regards to returns though.

Sorry to hear that you were out of pocket :(

Wow. A big warning to anyone who is considering buying from this mob.

The fact that they think that their contact lenses do not need to have a BC or DIA measurement due to their "Uni-Fit" techonology should raise some flags! Not even the most premium of lens manufacturers claim this! They also do not have any readily accessable information as to the exact material they are made of - another massive flag, and do not come in Toric.

It also concerns greatly that they are marketing these products as being a replacement for extended wear lenses - but there seems to be no information or certification for this claim!

I'd warn people to be very carful with dealing with unscrupulous operators like this!

I have no problems with overseas/online stores - but be sure to get a quality product rather than putting something that seems to be devoid of testing or certification in your eye!

I am not an expert in contacts but this warning sounds like bs to me. I use Air Optix Aqua and when I go to the OPSM website for that product there is only the one option of BC=8.6 and DIA=14.2 for the contacts, and I don't think OPSM are "unscrupulous operators" etc as you have said.

        • I think @Dumax may be referring to @kkllaa's comment about overseas store daysoftcontactlenses.com.

        • As moocher correctly identified - I was referring to DaySoft lenses (check indents).
