Hi Fellow OZB's,
I'm an international music promoter of a few decades experience. I learned my craft before the internet, in an age when artist promotion was done by getting on a plane and having overseas meetings face-to-face, to promote your new artist. Fast-forward to today, and that doesn't cut it anymore - too time-poor for all that. Everyone's social media now. My competitors are caning me just by building artist awareness through social media campaigns.. Twitter, FBook, Flickr, Vimeo profiles etc..
I've recently agreed to help a relative of mine - a great artist (potentially), who I want to represent as best I can in the best internet method. I'd like to pick the brains of you genius young-unz out there. I'd like your ideas on a chronological order of how to successfully cobble together the broad, complete picture for the artist. EG: photos first, on Flickr, then create a FB and Twitter page, from which I invite people to "like" the Flickr photos? Then the same for the video promo we've shot, by using Vimeo??
Cast your chronological layout here for me guys.. I'm reasonable at the social media stuff, but it's confusing when high-qual live concert video and photos are involved. Any thoughts would be kindly appreciated..! xx
