I sold my 2012 WRX earlier this year, now looking at getting back into a Renault Sport.
Very hard to describe but driving an RS is very satisfying…

Yes the rexy will always be faster in a straight line but life is full of curve balls.
I also owned a RS 182 Cup before the wrx and it was more satisfying driving that than the rexy.
I guess you have to drive both to make a judgement.
I loved my rexy but it attracted way too much unwanted attention and I never really connected with it as much…
Yeah, the open front diff on REXs make them understeer happy.

The current crop of Megane RS is a track weapon, although I haven't had the chance to take one to the track. I tend to favour the German horses but to each their own.
Just an interesting observation, the tracks I have been to are usually populated by low-key looking cars. The "fully sick" band of bros tend to fully sick in a straight line on an empty road.
Buy an EVO.

I've got a 92 Subaru Liberty RS wagon. I bought it with a blown head gasket (original motor) so I've dropped a 97 WRX motor in for now.. just have to find the time to get the gearbox in and it should be on the road. Mods to come include front mount inter-cooler, bigger turbo, etc etc
I'm on my 10th Subaru (I buy them cheap, clean them up repair them and on sell them after a few months of use). I also currently drive a 99 NA Liberty Wagon as my daily and have 3 other gen 1 Liberties in various states at the moment.. I've been driving Subaru's for 7 years now I think.
