  • Oh man, that's a great deal. The last ones were $248 for Killzone bundle. Suffice to say I don't think that the OLED (or the new LED) bundle will go below $200 any time soon….

  • +1

This would be the original OLED model wouldn't it?

    • Yes.

      • So I don't understand your post…

" I don't think that the OLED (or the new LED) bundle will go below $200 any time soon"

        • +1

Yeah, I don't think this bundle will go below $199. And when the LED version comes out I expect the price to go up.

        • +13

          FYI, $199 is below $200.

        • the OLED model apparently is very popular overseas where they have stopped selling them in favor of the new screen … so i've heard :)

  • damnit, just paid $248 at BigW couple of days ago! Good price!

    • Think you can still return yours and buy this one instead!

  • Bought just the console for $199 in September, this is a damn good price.

  • +1

now I'm tempted. Another flipping gadget!

  • Killzone bundle has been cheaper several times in the past, but it's a good current offer. If you want to deal with Dick Smith :)

    • i still haven't got my pre-ordered infamous second son hahaha bought it last thursday everyday they ask me to call the next day …. if not for these sales no one in their right mind would put themselves through the pain! (well potential pain they dont always screw it up for everyone hehe)

Hold on. Didn't you leave OzBargain a few hours ago?

I for one welcome the return of theearth

  • bought the bundle last year during Christmas holiday. It was 199 as well in JB. EB had this deal too last year

  • Eb had the $188 3g model bundled with 16gb vita card mega pack was the best deal ever seen.

    • yeah, I would love to get that deal… not sure if I should wait out for something like that again, or jump at this one

  • had been waiting for the price to go down on VITA since i got the PS4..and PSN
already got some VITA games on PSN

    but which one to get???
Killzone Bundle or Little Big Planet Bundle

    what do u guys think???

    • +2

Killzone for sure. It will also sell for more if you want to get rid of it.

    • I have both and it depends. Killzone is a pretty good shooter, but I got LBP on sale and have to say it is the definitive version if you love LBP. Uses all the Vita features (touch, rear screen) in imaginative ways and is perfect for playing on the bus.

I have been very impressed with the Vita after poo-pooing it for a while.

    • Killzone.

Not sure about the Aus Playstation store but in Asia, they gave away the game if you join the PS+ network.

PS: join the PS+ network if you haven't already done so. You get a couple of games to play free as long as you remain a member. It's not expensive.

staff discount does not seem to be working @ dicksmith online recently…is that the case???

    • don't u have to scan your card?

    • Yup, but it still works instore. Used mine last Thursday for Infamous.

  • Cool price.

    I love my Vita.

I would recommend if you buy one to get a 16GB+ memory card for it. Then buy a US PS+ account.

    • What have you found to be the cheapest way to get US PS+ cards?

      • I have my NAB issued amex linked to my wifes US account.

  • does it include 4gb memory?

    • No it doesnt…you need to buy Memory cards

  • what are the best options in getting the memory cards?

  • Might be interested in buying a sealed copy of Killzone if someone gets the bundle and doesn't want it (Sydney/Central Coast)

    • Msg me with details…as i am planning to get the killzone bundle but have no intention of playing it

  • Guys I'm actually thinking about buying a PS Vita. Because of the FFX games.

I don't know much about the PS Vita. Help me out, I know these are going to be like noob questions.

    1. If I get the PS3 FFX. Could I just remote play it on my PS Vita(If I were to just get the PS Vita)

    2. Do I have to buy the PS Vita FFX + Ps 3 version to play on both ? Or could I just get the PS Vita game and play it on the PS 3 ?

    3. Do people use CFW on the PS Vita ? What are the risk and benefits to do that ?

    4. I don't really play other games but FFX. Should I get the slim or the OLED model?(I know this deal is the OLED model?)

Sorry if these are hard to understand. I am like stressing out with other stuff and trying to make a decision.

Only reason why I want it on the PS3, it is because of the art book. I just don't want to buy the PS3's version of FFX to get the artbook and then I have to buy the same game but for the PS vita..

      1. no you cant
      2. yes you need to buy both (it isnt cross buy)
      3. i think you can hack the vita but its pretty uncommon compared to the psp. could probably brick the system if you do it wrong.
      4. up to you. FFX will probably look better on the OLED version though.

You can also play FF1-FFX-2 on the vita. I just finished FF4 this morning!

      • This is the same decision for me.. like I bought the 2DS just for Animal Crossing. Now…Deciding to buy a PS Vita just for FFX(Its the only game I loved the most playing back in my High School time).

I barely touch my PS3…Is it worth it just to go with the PS Vita version ?… That artbook is sucking me in to buy it..If only I could buy the artbook alone.

    • You can currently only get the OLED model in Australia.

  • +1

Love my Vita! Grabbed it with Killzone for $199 in Nov 2013. Great device - get one Ozbargainers!

  • Hopefully my local Dick Smith has them in stock on that day

  • +1

Great portable console. I have the original version but would honestly prefer the small form factor and longer battery life of the newer OLED version. I can live with a slightly poorer screen.

Join the PS+ network. Not expensive and you get a few games free to download each month. They are good titles too.

Buy as large a memory card as you can afford. 16GB min or 32GB if you can.

If you're going to Japan on holiday, the cards are much cheaper there.

    Good must-play titles:
    - Dragon's Crown
    - Persona 4 Golden

    • i believe you mean the newer LCD screen the older one had the OLED screen. The LCD version from what i have read is not available yet in Aus and im assuming this is retailers getting rid of the older one to make way for the new version.. :)

      • Oh yes. Got my screen tech mixed up.

Been travelling through Asia and the new versions are much sleeker. Screen seems fine too.

  • its a lie… can't even pick it up. Even online they have the wrong bundle

    • I wonder if someone would still be willing to price match it based on the online listing.

      • just get the catalog. i have it with me

  • they have click and collect available for vita + little big planet + 4gb card.

my question, is can I prepay online for click and collect? if so how? I have generated an order, but cant see a payment screen?

  • $169 at Sunnybank QLD, just bought

    • To confirm, wifi psvita + killzone

      • wait so you got the bundle, or rather the wifi and game for $169 in total?

        • Wifi vita and the game. Game came through as $0 and vita $169

        • Just refund the vita and keep the killzone for free.

    • That's… insanely and very-oddly cheap. Good purchase. :\

  • Price matched EBgames $199, they were all out of 3G so I managed to score a Wifi with Killzone game (not a bundle so the game is separate).
Good deal, now I need to sell the game

  • Managed to price match the PS VITA console for $169 at JB Hifi Adelaide Street, Brisbane. I think they can also price match it for $199 with the Killzone game. Look for Andrew if you want to get one.

    • I think the new low is to price match wifi vita + killzone for $169.

  • Thanks OP, no problem price matching this at JB HifI!

    • I understand your local DSE may not have 3G stock, if your happy with wifi only, try your local DSE. the console scans at $169, whilst killzone scans at $0. Must have been an issue with their system, but hey, a lot of happy customers!

  • Does anyone know if littlebigplanet is a physical copy or a download code?
