The casing is more or less standard and available for about $2.80 of eBay. The battery inside is very unpredictable.

I bought one off Lightake a few months ago off an Ozbargain deal for about $5 and the battery is effectively about 1,500 mah.

does it came in after shave?

rep do you guarantee capacity? money back not simply return as it costs more to send it back than its worth.

    • +1

yes they GUARANTEE its not 2600mah - If you buy the casing yourself as said above for $2.80 and get the genuine sanyo 2600mah cell for $6.30 = costs more than this deal but you can be sure its good quality.

    • It should not take a Store Rep over 4 hours to answer Nosdan's pertinent question asked only 35 minutes after the deal was posted. It would be reassuring to know the charging cable is suitable for Australian power sockets. The website shows a German phone being charged.

ok… im gonna step back in here at this point….

@voter1 you seem to paste ebay links as your source in previous deals without supplying backup information to why the links you quote are genuine. without any supporting evidence your claims are no better than any other dodgy claim of mah's. if you have a link that proves some reliable info on the ebay links you have please post it.

@pjc to be fair the rep has not been actively online since posting the deal (or me posting my comment) and being that its a rep may well only "work" during business hours. give them some time to answer by the "next working day".
also this product does not come with a charging device. there is no reason that a german power brick will behave any different here to anywhere else in the world when charged off any 5v usb source.

  • Anyone seen one of these that has both mini & micro USB output?

    • why would it have either mini or micro output?

or do you mean the input to charge it with?

      • Because I have devices that need micro and mini…two devices, two different cables.

        • /me scratches head

but, dont you just use a usbA to micro/mini cable? or do you mean does this come with both sorts of cables?

either way, the power bank does not need mini/micro output that is achieved with a normal usb cable

    • The MicroUSB is for charging the unit itself. The USB slot is for your phone's cable….

Edit: they look to be the same sort of casing as the Smarterchargers being sold locally, which are also 2600mAh

Are you sure these can be trusted? I've heard many stories of these dupes being sold and causing fires because of the cheap parts. I've been advised by many people not to buy these power banks and buy it from the official store with actual certification that it has been tested.

  • Ok I purchased one of these and tried it last night. They are definitely not 2600 mah. I charged my Xperia Z and it only went up to 40% before the charger ran out of juice. So my estimate is that the battery is 1000 mah or so.

    • Thanks for that information and I'm sorry it didn't work out for you. Based on your experience, I'm glad I didn't order one.
