Hi fellow Community Members
I am looking to get some suggestions from you guys. I am currently getting a home built by a builder. As a part of promotion the builder is running a promotion for free upgrades.
Some of the upgrades I have chosen considering in mind that it will be better to get it done now then getting it done later. I need to make up my mind as to below upgrades are better to get it done now or get it done later.
- One of the upgrades I am thinking is the NBN installation.
This is costing about $1600. This include conduit for fibre optic connection, category 2 distribution box, 3 category 5e phone/data point, 6/ 5e phone points and 6 tv points in lieu of standard tv and phone points. Now my question is, generally speaking in the new estate when you get an nbn connection from a service provider do they provide installation free or they charge any fees? If a fee is charged how much do they charge? Although I do understand that their list of upgrades includes internal points for data as well. What do you think I should be opting for? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
- Coloured concrete driveway valued at $2600 upto a maximum of 36m2. Shall I chose this upgrade or get it done later?( For an area about 24 m2)
Also please note that I am in Melbourne west.
Thanks
It might seem like a dumb question, but are you sure your area is going to get fibre optic nbn?
I didn't have to look too hard to find that you're probably likely to get free installation with a plan.
