Hey everyone, I've been looking out for a Sony Xav 601bt multimedia head unit for my car for a while not but can't find anything less than $500. If anyone has seen one or knows where I can get one for cheaper can you please let me know? Thank you!!
cheap Sony Xav-601bt car head unit?

Are you aware the XAV-601BT is a long ago discontinued line? My understanding is it's been replaced by a newer model.
May I ask why you haven't considered the often cheaper and more functional Pioneer AppRadio series? This is particularly true if you own an iPhone. You can also mirror your entire display through MHL to your Head Unit if you have a relatively recent android.
As for your question, I've found the best time to get audio gear is when JB have their 30-50% off Car Audio sales. Though be prepared to shop around!
Hope this helps! :)
Thanks jackary, I wasn't aware of the pioneer appradio but I will look into it. I wanted the 601 because it was better than the 64 and I wasn't a huge fan of the button layout for the 701. I've got an xperia z1. So mirrorlink will work and that's a feature I was looking forward to. But until now I had a feeling it was discontinued but thought I'd check. Thanks for your reply!
Where would you recommend buying the appradio from?
Mirrorlink is a very common feature on just about any Double DIN head unit from most of the larger manufacturers these days. I suggested the AppRadio as there's a very large resource of apps in the Play Store to get your head unit working its best. Would probably still recommend JB HiFi as they do seem to often have good deals with their car audio sales. Have seen a few good bargains at Autobarn from time to time too!
But if you're not fussed by it being a new or discontinued model, another idea might just be to look around your local car audio retailers for end of line/demo units.
Hope this helps! :)
