Pioneer HDJ-1500 Headphones (B/W/S) $99 Online

110
HDJ

Got an email from pioneer a few hours ago advertising their HDJ-1500's at $99 from their aussie store. Think its a great deal for a solid brand of headphones, already bought myself a pair. RRP is around $240 with Jbhifi and Storedj having it for $222 and $199 respectively.

Link to deal is for the Black colour but also available in silver and white.

Use the code HDJ at the checkout!!

Very good deal for these headphones. I've had the HDJ-2000's and can attest to their quality. I'm sure these 1500's will be the same!

      • UPDATE:
I got this in the mail today:
        "Hi XXXX,

Congratulations on your purchase of the Pioneer HDJ-1500-W headphones. Unfortunately, we experienced a technical error with processing your order, causing the Discounted Buy Price to drop from $99 to $68.

We sincerely apologise for this error. As per our promotional offer, the HDJ-1500-W was advertised at $99, not $68, therefore we require an additional payment of $31, to complete your order.

A representative from our sales desk with be in contact with you on Monday to confirm this additional payment. Should you not wish to pay the additional $31, we will happily refund your existing $68 payment."

Back up to $99 for those who tried to buy them for $68!

  • Thanks, just ordered the white ones for $68

  • How do i order them? On the website it just directs me to a JB HIFI shop

  • Seems to be sold out now. :(

    • No I can still order the white one for $68. I wasn't gonna get one when it's $99 but for $68 bucks hard to say no and give it a try.

      • I ended up getting the silver for $99. They're still mostly black. :)

I got the white ones for $68

  • Probably a silly question but can I use these headphones with my laptop or Samsung phone?

    • Yes you can! however, there is no "smart" functionality on the headphone's cable (no microphone/volume controls etc)

Great That's a good price based on all the reviews.

  • i just recieved an email saying that there was a price error ( i bought the white ones for $68) and the correct price should have been $99 and not the $68 i was charged, someone from pioneer is going to call me on monday for the balance to be paid

are they allowed to do this???

    • The can't force you to pay the extra, they should let you back out completely if you want (get a refund of the $68, and get no headphones).

They can change the price if it was a genuine error.

The might get in trouble if it was an intentional 'error' to get people to buy at the lower price and then 'correct' it later. Assuming someone reports them to ACCC, and can prove it, and the ACCC thinks it's worth their time to prosecute them for bait and switch advertising.

      • Verbatim from the email:

        "Hi :xxxx:,

Congratulations on your purchase of the Pioneer HDJ-1500-W headphones. Unfortunately, we experienced a technical error with processing your order, causing the Discounted Buy Price to drop from $99 to $68.

We sincerely apologise for this error. As per our promotional offer, the HDJ-1500-W was advertised at $99, not $68, therefore we require an additional payment of $31, to complete your order.

I think it'd be a bit difficult going down the ACCC route, especially when they actually give you the option to cancel, and call it a genuine mistake. I bought both a $99 pair and a $68 pair, and only got the email for the $68 one.
