In a similar vein to Xbox 360 title Crackdown, inFamous throws reality out of the window, giving players a huge variety of superhuman powers to utilize as they survey Empire City from top to bottom. Playing as urban explorer Cole, players can use their new abilities to protect or abuse the city and its citizens. Each decision the player makes will have an impact on their surroundings, ultimately deciding whether Empire City will be saved or destroyed.
With such powerful talents at a player’s disposal, the typical limits of free-roaming games have been removed, letting players scale tall buildings or create mass destruction at will. During combat, Cole can use his electricity moves in a variety of creative ways, even sending jolts of lighting from his hands to fling enemies through the air.
