As a true OzBargainer, I jumped at the chance when someone offered a used satellite dish (meshed kind) and receiver for free…
Went to great lengths to get it home…installed the dish..and now don't know how to configure/program the darn thing….
anyone with expertise on this? Or better still, come over (located in Caroline Springs 3023) to help out? Happy to buy you a McFlurry (not the el-cheapo OzB way)… lol

I assume it is a C Band dish since you said that it is meshed
It is not the easiest thing to do, especially if you have a polar mount and you want to track different satellites. You might want to start here.

Hmm..next time someone offers something "free", I will think twice…in this instance, looks like I've essentially taken away someone's trash for free…Luckily I didn't offer to pull the pole out of the ground cos it was concreted in! lol…

What you do is point it at the direction , it will come up with it on the tv what satelite you got and then it should be easy to scan for the stations
