Never heard of these guys but my insurance will go up $20 a month with NIB at the moment so looking to change and these guys are quite cheap compared to NIB.

Only claimed once so far on a clean and check + xrays at the dentist and on the Saver options (second lowest one) I was out of pocket about $30. Claiming was pretty easy, just swiped the card at the dentist and it was automatically done, I guess the same way most other places would do it.

To answer your questions, HIF covers hospitals, medical specialists and Extras service providers across the country. We also don't lock members in to 'participating provider' schemes, instead paying back excellent rebates but allowing our members to choose their own providers.
