so the blu ray is more then 50% for expensive than the DVD? why are xbox360 and ps3 games the same price?

You have to consider the bigger issue - Who is watching this B grade Crap enough to actually buy it with the intention of watching it multiple times ? ? ?

      • i've only got a fixed budget, havent seen HG1 or 2, nor firefly.

        which one should i choose?

        • Hey There,

If you had to choose between HG1 or 2, then I would say 1. 2 directly picks up from 1 and you will need to know the story line of HG1 to get HG2.

Alternatively you can read the plot on Wiki for HG1 and give HG2. At the end of the day, up to you.

          Best,

          A Cruz

I saw both recently and was surprised at how good it was. Beats the majority of Hollywood offerings. Nothing like Twilight, better than Potter, blows crap like Transformers out of the water.

        • Better than Potter? Um, no.

    • Great value if you ask me. 5 times the resolution for only 50% more. BD = $12.50 per megapixel. DVD = $40 per megapixel.

Extra $4.98 gets you the 2 disc Blu Ray version exclusive to JB. If you are really into it, that's the one you'd probably want.

This is quite cheap! But $5 bucks can go a long way nowadays.

For example I could buy the cheaper Blu-ray at Big W and on the way home, drop by Maccas and buy myself something from their $2 dollar menu…

      • +1

This is correct. Extra disc, or 5 x small fries at Maccas?! You can't eat the extra disc.

        • +4

Or you could wait for 20% at JB and get it for less than $25.

Better still, everyone could save $25 full stop by renting it on free kiosk day.

Either way, don't eat the Macca's.

  • Hi There,

Blu-rays are better quality, and you can notice this if you buy a nice television that can optimize your experience when watching blu-rays.

    Thanks,

      Thanks for the tip.

  • Also, don't forget guys that if you spend $50 or more on any standard item, you get free delivery too.

Free delivery promotion ends this Sunday AEST, so get in quick.

I know it's a Big W post but it is also the same price for both at Target and Kmart

    • +1

probably why its only got one positive so far

      • Back down to zero now that the account that gave the upvote has found itself a comfy seat in the penalty box.

But are they offering *free delivery guys? Winning.

      • +2

A lot of companies offer *free delivery, just a different asterisk condition. And it's irrelevant if you go instore to buy something.

      • +2

Big W aren't offering free delivery on this, unless you spend another $34 on other stuff.

Rep, you aren't doing Big W many favours here. Can see that the good intention is there, but you need to back it up with a genuine bargain - one that you can't get for the same price in multiple other stores. Hint - I'd start with the Fart Blaster (LOL) which is $30 in this weeks catalogue as I couldn't source it any cheaper anywhere else. Too easy. Might make for a spirited discussion too?

        • Hunger Games 2 vs a $30 fart blaster what was I thinking?!?
Thanks for the tip sparkles, we've made a note of your suggestion.

For the record, I like using the fart blaster at bus stops.

  • Just because you end your post with "Bargain!" doesn't a bargain make.

Make it $5 DVD and/or $10 Bluray … You surely get + and sells quickly
