I need advice on purchasing a good value front gate WIRELESS intercom with cameras. Two exterior weather proof camera's would be good and a decent size screen inside for viewing.
I've a solid brick wall right in the signal path and the distance from front gate to the base station will be around 25m. No need for internal camera's or extra camera's. The intercom is essential so one can communicate with whoever is at the gate. Some night vision capability would be good with the cameras.
Can anyone recommend a unit that they have had personal experience with?

You should investigate IP cameras, which are basically just wireless cameras that you can put almost anywhere (somewhere near a hard power source is good, but I believe you can get solar ones or something). The benefit of these is you can save money on a monitor and just connect from any computer connected to the network.
I think you can also set them up so you can view them when you're not even home, but that would be a bit more advanced and depend on your modem/network setup.
Other than that, I'm not sure about intercoms. It might just be a case of going to bunnings or intercom-supply-store and seeing what you want, possibly looking up the models they have online and seeing how cheap you can get them with the features you want?
