USA Amazon website - cost for freight and taxes?

I wanted to buy a few items that I am interested in on Amazon eg. SD card, travel items etc., but not too sure how it works. For example, what how much does it cost for freight and taxes to Australia and what items allow coming to Australia? I need expert advice on this. Thanks

    No taxes.

Add the product to your cart and go to the final step to see if they will ship to Australia and what the price will be. For items that don't ship to Australia, you can use a freight forwarder.

Duties is only needed where the declared value on the package is in excess of $1000. Since you aren't purchasing thousands of dollars of value of stuff, you won't be charged any import duties or taxes.

Shipping is calculated by seller and varies according to the service you have chosen. This is calculated at the checkout screen.

Be sure to not use their currency converter if you have a 28 degrees card or similar.

  • Thanks for the help, but I have more question. Can you cancel the purchase at the end where you finalised your purchase then you realised the freight costs is too expensive? Can you use Australian credit cards? Sorry if I ask silly questions, I am very new to internet shopping and have not have any confident.

No need to cancel. Just don't click the order button at the end. If you do make a mistake (really don't see how), you should be able to cancel your order.

Can you use Australian credit cards?

      Yes.

  • Perfect! Thank you so much…I will give Amazon a go soon.
