I have run out of space on my 1tb RAID1 array and want to move to 2tb, currently I'm thinking to go to RAID10 with 4x1tb drives.
I also need a motherboard with 6x SATA (softwre RAID is fine).
Should also be able to fit a low profile NVIDIA graphics card.

You could use raid 5 and get 3tb out of that configuration. Granted that raid 5 isn't the highest performing config around, but is it a problem when you're probably just streaming video, and other home style activities?
Hi there mate,
I've definitely been thinking the same thing, majority of my 'builds' or wish lists consist of the following:

If you know someone who is good at computers, they will be able to help you. The fractal design can store 6 mechanical drives and has a lot of room for a graphics card if required.
The MSI itx graphics card is a rare breed designed for small form factor builds, and that asrock mobo is one of the only ones with a decent amount of features that has 6 sata3 ports on it.
WD red is really the backbone of any normal consumer home server as they are designed for 24/7 use.
Hope this helps.
Not too sure about this but, i dont think traditional HDD gain much performance from RAID…
Perhaps just get 2x 2Tb External and crack it open? They go for <$100 now. Then just RAID 1 them.
By doing this, you can save some chassis space or get a smaller case.
