  • A 30cm cutting diameter reduces trimming time by clearing a larger path in each stroke
  • The edging function helps trim pathways and flower beds

This Xceed 500W line trimmer offers more power for manoeuvring around the yard using electric energy for better performance. Whether in rough terrain or damp conditions, you’ll get to enjoy easier handling and a shorter trimming time, as a wider path will be cleared in each stroke, with the 30cm cutting diameter of this line trimmer. Pathways and flower beds will not be challenging either, due to a special edging function that is incorporated into the tool and provides the much needed assistance for the task. This power tool also has a convenient telescopic shaft.

The line feed mechanism in these is craptastic … I know its $19 but the frustration I have every time I dig it out of the shed to do some simple edging means it will go in the next hard rubbish collection. Ive even just given up around trees etc and now just pull the grass out ;)

    • Thanks heaps ! Was considering grabbing one, but after years of frustration with another model doing similar things, I won't be wasting my time. Ta.

Thanks pw2002au, I was considering this trimmer, but after your review I may stick to my smelly, noisy, 2-stroke trimmer, at least it works!

  • Nothing for QLD

  • Nothing in VIC, and it's $59.00 on the website

Agreed - the price of a line trimmer is almost irrelevant. The only factor I would consider is how easy it is to manage the line. Even if I save $50 on the purchase price, if I have to spend an extra 5 maddeningly frustrating minutes sorting out the line feed every time I use it (say 30 times per year), and even if I value my time at only 33cents/minute ($20/hr) then the money I 'saved' would have been spent again within 1 year, plus the additional aggravation.
