Feedback for new social sports website

Hi All,

We are about to launch a new site where people can find social sports games to play on a 'pay when you play' model instead of having to join a team and commit to playing each week.

The site is sort of ugly but functional at this stage, it would be great to get some feedback from people.
There are some actual games on the site now, but only netball and soccer in Adelaide to start with.

What do people think of the idea?
Are people going to be scared to enter their CC details when they join games?

The website is http://sportivore.com.au

Any comments or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

  • ..actually Basketball and Netball at the moment, hopefully 5-a-side soccer soon :)

  • A couple of quick comments.

    1. The YouTube box is too wide. Why are the huge black bars to the left and right of the video? (viewing at 1920 x 1080 resolution)
    2. Will there be a PayPal option?
    3. Where are the costs displayed? I assume you would need to register to see them but they should be available to everybody.
  • Hi Jelko,

You are right, it does not look great on a higher resolution, we really need to fix up the site's responsiveness.
Paypal is coming, but it is tricky to charge people only when the game is confirmed with Paypal, do you think people will be more comfortable entering Paypal credentials rather than CC details?
Costs are displayed when you click "Join", maybe we should update it to show on the front page..

    Thanks for the comments!

  • Any other comments? Does this look like something people would be interested in?

  • We have almost finished developing the new version of the site.
The mobile bit is not quite complete yet, but the desktop version is done.

Any comments greatly appreciated, also if you are in Adelaide we have a deal running now:

Current games are indoor and outdoor soccer, Basketball and AFL9s.
Pilates and Personal training coming soon!
