Furniture outlets in Melbourne?

Hi guys,

I've just moved and am looking to furnish a new house. Any good places in Melbourne to get cheap furniture?
Factory outlets or the like? Preferably in the East or South-East.

    Have you tried eBay or even Graysonline? Sometimes you'll have to pickup the items and if you work Monday to Friday, then it might not always be convenient. Second-hand furniture is also something you can consider, wooden furniture are designed to last ages and when you're buying it off someone, it means you're recycling the wood, not chopping down a new tree. It takes one person at a time to contribute to preserving our environment.

    Otherwise, I think the Homemaker Centre in Sprinvale where Ikea is could be a good starting point?

    There's a place in south yarra on Chapel street called Suite deals that sell (slightly) discounted furniture.

    There's also i believe an outlet for freedom/bay leather along that same stretch.
