I tried the Timex Ironman Run Trainer (same model as the first linked), but returned it. Compared to the Garmin and TomTom models, it takes FORVEVER to lock onto the GPS signal. Also, it doesn't track (live) calories burnt, which is something even the most basic HR monitors do. It does show a total calorie burnt summary once you've finished your workout tho.

  Yes this type of watch is old school now. Samsung Gear & Fit and the like are the next generation.
