Have removed all carpet from my house and am going to sand and polish pine floorboards. Now whether to use high gloss or matt? Have been told the latest fashion is matt. Pros and cons, thanks

Matt looks really good with a black wood type floor board, but anything natural timber looking would be best with a gloss finish.
If you live in a shed, matt. If you live in a house, gloss.
Beware, pine is very soft and will begin to show marks from high heels, furniture and movement within weeks.
as you have pine, consider a hard epoxy finish to protect them a little more.
Go gloss. People are attracted to shiny things…
beware tradesman or visitors that may have dirt or stones stuck on their boots, completely stuff your shiney floor surface
i think glossy finishes look awesome
