This looks like a good deal … but is 50 Hz refresh rate a bit low ? From reading past comments on this subject the consensus seems to be 100 Hz is a minimum ?

My parents needed a replacement living room TV. It's for general viewing so I'm not too concerned about the 50Hz refresh rate.
I'm not confident that they'll have stock though, as I've had them cancel my order the last two times I ordered (the last being yesterday, when I ordered a similar, more expensive TV).

Smart is built into everything these days isnt it? Ive got at least 3 devices that have some form of smart features.
My Dvico 6600n Media Player/PVR with 1TB internal and 4TB external is still going strong.
But inbuilt decoders are still terrible compared to dedicated media players or a HTPC.

too poor to buy a wdtv?
Mum tried to buy this in their last sale with free delivery nation wide. They wouldn't honour it, I suspect because she lives in a rural town. I would have stuck to my guns but she told them to shove it and went and bought the same model cheaper at JB.
