Guys please help me to find a holiday house in Gold Coast. Looking to be there April first week for 4 Nights. I think renting an apartment looks like cheaper than booking rooms in Hotel. I am looking to rent for 4 adults 1 Child. 2 Bedroom apartment and with basic facilities. It will be great if there is someone to help me to give some information about the city too. Honestly don't want to spend fortune on stay. so cheaper the better. Thanks guys.

We've found apartments on websites like Wotif the best way to book for the Gold Coast. Because there are so many hotels and apartments they are fairly competitive.
The Atrium and The Towers of Chevron Renaissance (usually at the last minute the prices are better - if there is availability) are two that pop to mind as having good prices on 2 bedders.
Southport has a great park along the broad water. Totally free. They have a big jumping pillow and water play areas for the kids amongst other things. If you park across the road at the Australia Fair shopping centre the first 3 hrs are free. It is paid parking at the park itself.

Take a look at the caravan parks for a "beachfront" villa/cabin.
