Coles docket deals $5 off for $50 & $75 spends

I have seen some $5 off Coles docket deals not linked to Flybuys recently with generic codes on them.

Anyone come across these the ones I saw expired last week.

    Don't forget http://www.tellcoles.com.au a $5 coupon.

Definately got that, stacked with the docket deal I got for $10 off.

Plus picked one up from receipt in trolley and was the same barcode. Should have posted.

Would love to know if they are random or what triggers them.

    • min purchase of 100$ for the tell coles voucher to work

  • How can you tell they weren't linked to flybuys? I've only heard of these deals coming up when a flybuys card is scanned. I have no idea if the barcode will work if a flybuys card isn't used for the transaction where you want the $5 off.

The barcodes for the 500 points for X spend are all the same, regardless of the X figure. The docket is scanned and the qualifying amount linked to the particular account would be used to determine whether the 500 points will turn up.

If your docket deal said 500 points for $50 and you wanted to use this twice during the promotion period, you could probably use another member's docket provided the checkout operator didn't check the qualifying purchase amount on the docket. Self serf checkouts can be very useful in this situation. I usually wouldn't make too many transactions in the qualifying periods so the extra docket deal wouldn't be much use to me.

The receipts say 'if you had flybuys you would have received points'.

Plus I used one and it worked.

Well done. I'll keep checking the trolleys for receipts left behind.

lol That's where I got them. I had found a couple and the Barcode wasn't unique. Would be cool to share. If I find more I'll load.

        • I've gotten heaps of fuel discount and other vouchers from those. People even leave behind dockets with vouchers at self service checkout counters.

And we wonder why there are complaints about the cost of living?
