Fifa World cup 2014 Tickets conundrum!

Going to the world cup in brazil and have booked flights and accommodation to follow Australia( yes i know we will get lose every game) and want to see France vs Ecuador. Anyway atm i only have tickets to Australia vs Netherlands and hoping to get the rest of the tickets in the next ticket phase. Have a group of 4 people including me

My main question is if i don't have tickets when it comes closer to the date should i:

  1. Buy ticket from sites such as viagogo etc who are charging $90 cost price tickets for closer to $250-300 and $170 cost price tickets for $400-500

  2. Go to Brazil and hope to get tickets there for a reasonable Price

  3. Someone from the ozbargain community that has tickets for Australia vs chile, aus vs spain, France vs Ecuador can sell them to me cost price.( Hey if you don't ask you never know)

    hey mate,

    I am going to Brazil and managed to get my tickets filled. i am going to follow Australia, i got all 3 games. i also managed to get all the games in Rio which i am now selling because i wasn't sure if i would get the Australia games, these are sold. i found a forum which has people that need tickets etc and that's where i met someone in Australia who wants them. also the fanatics have a forum for people that might have some tickets.

    if you cant get tickets i would pay the $250 but thats me.

    You are both doing better then me, i missed out on all tickets in all ballots and now have to take my chances in the FCFS draw tonight. If it's anything like the last one, I don't like my chances.

    If not i can say I will be spending the $250 to get a ticket, what an extra $750 when I am already spending $10k for a 6 week holiday.

    I was lucky enough to score the first two AUS games + the round of 16 final in Rio. Spewing because i originally had all 3 AUS group games before the site decided to crash in the payment process and booted me back in the queue. With a bit of luck i can secure the last lot of tickets in the final ticket phase. From what i read they are holding a few back until the stadium is finished, that way they will know the exact seating configuration after all the delays they have had.
