Hey all
I exclusively use BP Ultimate Premium Unleaded and the arguement for using it against normal unleaded is beyond the scope of this discussion. The reason why I am posting this is that I have noticed that my local store in suburban Melbourne has it for .14 cents a litre more than normal unleaded, but if you travel to other BP service stations such as Taylors Lakes, Campbellfield, Essendon, or even on City Road in the city, they are charging .16 cents a litre difference than normal unleaded. Now someone will say whats .02 cents however over time it does mount up.
I have asked the stations themselves and I was told that it may make a difference if the store is company or privately owned.
My question is does anyone know why these stores can charge the extra .02 a litre for ultimate when my local store sells it for .14 cents a litre?
Thanks so much in advance.
They do it because they can. There is no set price. You're querying .02 of a cent - I don't recall where it was now, but when passing through a particular town we always drove past one servo of a particular brand to to to the other, because there was a price difference of 4 to 6 cents.
